genevieve patchell (aka vieves) is a Mississauga-based visual artist who prefers lower case 'g's, leftovers for breakfast, and can't live without good tunage.  A deep love of art led her to enroll in Fanshawe College's Fine Art Program, where she studied sculpture, photography, and other mediums, with a primary focus on painting and drawing.

Using these skills, she's experimented with many different mediums over the years, such as metal, wood, and found objects to make art and jewelry. Only within the last 6 years has genevieve started seriously working with clay after taking a community pottery class on a whim while living in Edmonton. She was hooked from the start, and after moving back to Ontario, sought out the local clay community, eventually joining the Mississauga Potters' Guild.

She continues to create work for private collectors in other mediums while experimenting in mud.

When not beach-combing for treasure, vieves is often cuddling her foster kittens or walking her rescued dogs while daydreaming about converting an old school bus into a caravan to travel across Canada. She would appreciate any leads to a cheap bus so she can realize this fantasy, please and thanks.
